Founding History
The idea and the dream of founding such a center among the officials and professionals of Tabriz Medical University go back to many years ago. Since this university is one of the most prominent ones in the state and has always played an important role in medical education and treatment in the Northwest of Iran, having The Liver and Gastrointestinal Research Center was thought to be vital. It was initially founded in 1383/12/22 in the 108th session of Research Department of the University, and then the foundation process was confirmed and terminated in 1385/12/22 in the 179th session of The Committee of Medical University Expansion.
